BROOKE ASTOR HELD ON DRUG CHARGES

BROOKE ASTOR HELD ON DRUG CHARGES

Despite her consistent support for the Rockefeller drug laws, Brooke Astor was detained last night after a performance of "A Century of Dissipation," her blockbusting one-woman show at the Samuel Beckett Theater on 41st Street. Ms. Astor was detained at Central Booking for illegal possession of "a controlled substance," despite her production of a legal prescription for the drug in question. "Clearly, I've been targeted for some reason," Mrs. Astor told reporters. "I suppose you know that Jews run this government. They've been in charge since FDR. If your last name is Astor, this is the price you pay, I guess."
